hey, ran across your site. i’m a designer who started in the mid 80’s as well and was very happy to lose all the tools of “old fashioned” design, and sit on my ass in front of a computer screen starting in the late 80’s. i remember it seemed like a miracle to send my own typeset font from a Mac IIcx, over a dial up modem to the typsetter. funny seeing the old yellow type-thing, and the pro wheel. god bless progress. still sitting on my ass in front of a Mac.
